The Banquet Cochon is a five-course gastronomical feast
concocted by renowned chefs Martin Picard (Au
Pied de Cochon), Normand Laprise (Toqué),
Elena Faita (Mezzaluna)
and Mousatfa Rougaibi (La Colombe) for the past five
years! They are passionate individuals who freely share the joys of
their art and in whose delightful company we shall experience a memorable
evening!

Christian Bégin, guest of honour

multifaceted artist, Christian Bégin began his career in
1986 and has since conquered the mediums of theatre, television
and cinema as actor, writer and comedian.
He has many years’ experience as a performer, notably as the
Curieux Bégin character he created. A former teacher for
several years at the École Nationale de l’Humour, he
has performed in two one-man shows: 1990’s Que reste-t-il
de mes amours?, and I’ve Got a Crush on You,
ou J’ai une orangeade sur toi,” which both
met with unanimous critical and public acclaim. Christian Bégin
is also something of a fixture on the theatre scene. You may have
seen his recent turn in Circus Minimus. On the big screen,
he recently appeared in La loi du cochon and Nez rouge,
and is set to star in Érik Canuel’s Cadavres in 2008. |

Thanks to all the restaurateurs who graciously
and faithfully provide us with complete and delicious meals, and who help
make État d’Urgence a quality event!

The meal provided by Pistou will be served by a street
gang!
The meal provided by Arrêt de Bus Traiteur is
truly a moving experience. Since 2005, it has been served by the children
of the École Arc-en-ciel, who each year put together a show and
tender words that warm the hearts of all who are in attendance!
The meal provided by the Coop généreux
exemplifies a philosophy of non-waste. An excellent meal prepared from
food that would otherwise have been discarded.
A big shout out to Utopik, for feeding the artists
and saving their lives on a daily basis!
Thank you to all those who fill our stomachs in such generous fashion:

and Le Chic resto Pop.
And a big GOD BLESS to our army of donators who provide goods and services
