Roche, Papier, Couteau… (excerpt)
du Théâtre I.N.K. 2
Combining original texts from local playwrights with theatre driven by motion and image, Théâtre I.N.K. has staged three productions to date: Les Apatrides (recipient of the “revelation of the year” Masque at the Soirée des Masques theatre awards gala), La Cadette (nominated for a Cochon Noble at the Cochons d’Or awards gala) and Roche, Papier, Couteau… This piece tells the story of five young stowaways coming to shore in an isolated village in Quebec’s Great North after having been sealed in a cargo container for a month. Taken under the wing of a villager, they will prove a real danger for the local population already at grips with alcoholism, despair and unspeakable distress.
Interpreted by Annie Ranger, Catherine-Amélie Côté and Christine Beaulieu.

Artistic direction, theatrical adaptation, interpretation / Caroline Bernier-Dionne. Based on and adapted from the tale “L’Enfance muette” by Sarah Deschênes. Direction / Luc Bouffard. / Staging Danaëlle Lareau
Caroline Bernier-Dionne, a Matane native and alumna of St-Hyacinthe’s École de théâtre, is a puppeteer and improvisationalist. She plays a young woman mourning and reliving the death of her sister, who committed suicide. Playing back in her mind the stages of her ordeal and her survival, she shares her experience so that she may carry on “in spite of”. The actress, on roller skates, works her way through the successive stages a survivor experiences and demystifies them in an attempt to dispel the taboo surrounding death. Stepping out of character, Caroline Bernier-Dionne approaches the audience to sound out their reactions and share impressions and reflections.
