Théâtre-Forum: a public debate held in a spirit of recognition.
Chaired by Sonia Hamel, doctorand researcher.
Let us put ourselves in the Other’s shoes through theatre.
Let us defend our point of view by putting it up on stage.

Sonia Hamel, doctorand researcher at the Université de Montréal,
supported by the Fonds québécois de recherche sur la Société
et la Culture (FQRSC), wants to create a space for public deliberations
whose medium of communication is the théâtre-forum, or
social theatre, in close collaboration with the Mise au jeu interactive
theatre troupe. Her thesis, titled “Le théâtre-forum :
vers une délibération dialogique sous le signe de la reconnaissance”,
explores the social tensions underlying the cohabitation downtown of
street people and those living or working in the area.
A presentation/conference on Sonia Hamel’s work in progress will
take place Sunday, November 25 at 4 P.M.
